Pediatric Specialties was founded in 1977 by two Pediatricians who prided themselves in providing both the best in general pediatric care, as well as the best in pediatric subspecialty care. Joseph Bordiuk, MD was board certified in both Neonatology and Cardiology as well as General Pediatrics. Dr. Preston Zucker, MD was board certified in both Gastroenterology and General Pediatrics. Although through the years, the emphasis has shifted towards primary care; the practice still maintains its subspecialty roots with Dr. Paul Harlow, a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist, and the late Pediatric Endocrinologist, Dr. Daniel Levine.
Today, Pediatric Specialties is comprised of four board certified pediatricians. Dr. Paul Harlow, Pediatrician and Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist, a graduate of SUNY-Downstate Medical School; Steven Materetsky a graduate of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science The Chicago Medical School; Dr. Jonathan Wong a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx; Dr. Donna Muratschew a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Paul Harlow, Dr. Materetsky, Dr. Wong and Dr. Muratschew all practice general pediatrics.
